The pun is a misunderstood and often maligned form of comedy. Most of us, if you asked what we think of puns, would say we find them groan-worthy and associate them with dad jokes. But there’s so much you can do with language – it’s such a broad category of comedy that even if you think you can’t stand puns, there’s bound to be one out there for you too. Not to mention, dad jokes have actually been enjoying a surge of popularity in recent years.

Here are some posts that people shared on /r/puns as well as /r/PunPatrol, proving that wordplay is a thriving art. Some of the setups that people make just so they can take a picture of it and pun around might concern you. Others didn’t have to do anything, just find some poor sap who asked an innocent question and left themselves wide open.

Scroll down for some good and some so-bad-it’s-good wordplay.

Reddit continues to remain the internet’s best dumping ground for some of the funniest content out there. While Reddit has produced some great original material, users on the site equally love to pay tribute to amazing content on other sites.

This happened when Redditor u/sporite went onto to the Ask Reddit subreddit to get a general idea of what videos—viral or not—always manage to make Reddit users laugh hysterically. The result was a thread that contained a buffet of the best YouTube videos that are absolutely hilarious.

Animals, Vines (RIP), and plenty of fails are just a few of the highlights of the entire 1000+ comment thread. While there were a ton of suggestions, we’ve selected the crème de la crème of the bunch.

So please, enjoy 20 of the funniest YouTube videos Reddit has deemed to be worthy of internet gold.

1. Nice, Ron

Ron really just finds a way to screw something up somehow, and the person filming the video makes sure he knows this.

2. White Bear on Ice

During the filming for a White Bear Mitsubishi ad, a polar bear just can’t seem to get his balance. The last fall is definitely the best one though.

3. Guy Falls Asleep Playing EVE Online

Words cannot describe the noises that are coming from Tim when he fell asleep playing EVE Online with his friends. Give the video a watch and please explain how this can be considered “snoring.”

4. Dog Imitating a Siren

This video is both hilarious and precious. You need to absolutely check out how impeccable this doggo’s impression of an emergency siren is.

5. Cat Jump Fail

This viral video tells such a compelling narrative whose complexity is further conveyed through the solid music choice that accompanies it. Give this video a watch to see this cat jump where no cat has jumped before.

6. How is prangent formed

Yahoo! Answers was, and continues to remain a beautiful dumping ground for the strangest questions, and the most ridiculous spelling mistakes. This amazing video tackles the topic of pregnancy, and the internet’s inability to even spell the word.

7. Chris Pratt’s Blooper Reel from Parks & Rec

What a gem. Chris Pratt on Parks & Rec is a gift that keeps on giving. And if you aren’t convinced, then just take a look at this blooper video that Reddit users hold to a high standard.

8. Liam Neeson Doing Improv

Liam Neeson’s stern and cold delivery of every line in this sketch is absolutely hilarious. He takes his role of a hypochondriac to a whole other level that will remain forever untouched by actors for years to come.

9. My Waffle Wedded Wife

This YouTube video is really sweet. When a bride and a groom are at the altar exchanging vows, the bride’s husband-to-be accidentally says, “My waffl-y wedded wife,” instead of “lawfully wedded wife.” They crack up, the minister makes more jokes, and the entire audience also joins in on the laugh. Definitely a solid sign of a long, and happy marriage.

10. You Wanna Play a Little Game?

I’m not going to spoil what happens in this video, but there’s a reason why Reddit loves it. Jigsaw would be proud, maybe.

11. She’s a Wolf in Mouse Clothing

Animals screaming seems to be a recurring theme in the videos that Reddit users seem to enjoy. These dubbed over mice screaming into the void is both hilarious and relatable.

12. Funniest Game Show Answers of All Time

Sometimes coming up with answers on the spot can be a little daunting, but this compilation video proves otherwise. Some of these just really GO for it you know? My favorite one is the person who is asked about a vegetable you marinate and he replies with “grapes.” Iconic.

13. “A Child” Vine

RIP Vine, we hardly knew ye. This iconic 5 second clip of someone clearly not getting the point is a staple among those in Reddit. It’s dark humor at its finest.

14. Hilarious Jack Russell Goes Crazy with Excitement

This doggo was so excited to compete in the Agility Test at Crufts 2017. He was speedy, but he didn’t necessarily keep his eyes on the prize, or his owner for that matter.

15. Hi, I’m Ed Asner

This video starts innocently enough with Ed Asner introducing himself, but then he takes a freaking knife out of nowhere?? I need an explanation, but I’m also ok knowing Asner isn’t here to mess around, I guess.

16.Sulfur Hexafluoride Blooper

Helium needs to move aside because sulfur hexafluoride is here to snatch the crown for the best gas-induced funny voice. This old blooper shows a man inhaling this gas which makes his voice incredibly deep. This rule apparently applies to burps as well considering this man lets out an inhuman belch that will shake you to your core.

17. Rammstein vs Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster apparently has an affinity for German industrial metal music. Watch this amazing collab between Rammstein and Cookie Monster that Reddit apparently hails as the world’s most iconic duo.

18. Head Smashes Board

A motivational speech about believing in yourself takes an odd turn when this man tries to break a “bored” using just his head. This does not turn out the way he expected it to. Perhaps if he believed in himself a little harder, this viral video would have a different ending.

19. Look at this Graph

You’d be doing yourself a major disservice if you didn’t listen to this amazing, uncut edition of “Photograph” by Nickelback.

20. The Brakes

Who would’ve thought that Tina driving a car in Bob’s Burgers would translate so well in real life? While in this particular case there’s a massive ship, but its pretty likely the captain was experiencing the same feelings of anxiety as Tina did in this amazing dubbed-over video.

The record company is trying to force the website to hand over a users details as it seeks to sue over the leak of a song featured in the DC Comic movie

Atlantic Records is on the hunt for the identity of a Reddit user who leaked a Twenty One Pilots single, and is taking legal action in order to find out.

According to court records, a copy of the song, Heathens, was posted to Reddit on 15 June, nine days before Atlantic planned to release the single, which was to be featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.

Atlantic Records asked the Manhattan supreme court to issue a subpoena that would force Reddit to hand over a posters IP address.

The New York record label argues the song was planned to be release the same day as pre-orders for the soundtrack which comes out on Friday along with the movie were to become available and the leak destroyed their rollout plans, costing them significant funds.

Atlantic has gone through significant efforts and expended substantial funds to promote Heathens in an effort to drive sales of the single and pre-orders for the album, the company stated in court documents.

They had entered into agreements with Apple and Spotify to secure prominent promotional placement, and had intended to release a music video the same day.

Requests for the identity of a leaker from a private company have become common in the music industry with companies routinely request IP addresses from internet service providers of suspects.

I think Atlantic is doing what any rights holder would do in this situation, said Jonathan Hyman, a partner at intellectual property law firm Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear. Trying to find the root cause of the leak.

However, Reddit users largely enjoy the site due to the anonymity it provides. The California-based company routinely responds to requests to take down copyrighted content, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Hyman, who is also lecturer at UCLA School of Law, said Reddit will be legally obligated to respond to the subpoena if the judge agrees. However, its unclear if the person who uploaded the account is responsible for the leak.

In the complaint, Atlantic Records said the leaker could only be one of a few select people as prior to the date of the leak only the Twenty One Pilots band members, their manager, the label executives or members of the radio field staff had access to the song. Atlantic plans to sue for damages.

Atlantic Records declined to comment on the court case.

Last year, the Department of Justice brought a case against a 28-year-old Dutchman who leaked three films before they were released in 2010. He was accused of hacking into production companies hard drives and acquiring the films How Do You Know, Rango and Megamind.

So far in this series on top-voted Reddit posts, weve focused on dumb, silly stuff, including the mecca of bad design choices and a repository for the musings of woke-as-fuck 15-year-olds. Both of those are great and necessary, but one of my favorite things about Reddit is how it can occasionally scratch an itch you didnt know existed. There are countless micro-communities scattered across this network, which means there are countless opportunities to bump into something that speaks to you.

Its hard to describe what r/outrun aspires to be. The official description is appropriately mystic and vague: the sub with a touch of retrofuturism, ’80s romance, ’90s nostalgia, cyberpunk, tropic highways, and thrilling nights. To put it in more human terms, r/outrun hosts the chilly, neon, aesthetics of movies like Drive and music like Daft Punk and Kavinsky.

Let me show you what I mean.

Feel that chill go up your spine? Theres just something kind of energizing about that purple neon, those dusky palm trees, and yeah, the burgeoning 21st-century fetishization of grainy tape quality. Its very ’80s, but filtered through a warm, wooly, borrowed nostalgia that feels pretty nice.

Who knew a low-res sunset could feel infinite? Its a mystery of human chemistry that an entire demographic could unite around a fairly insubstantial common ground made of chunky tron grids and artificial hot rods, but it certainly does feel good.

Its not all fan art, either. Some of my favorite posts on r/outrun focus on the few moments in real life where things feel like a vector wonderland.

Like the view from this yacht.

Or these VHS skateboard designs.

Or the gorgeous digital dash from the 1985 Nissan Cue-X, which suddenly has me fetishizing ’80s automobiles in a way I never expected.

For young men and women who consume a lot of fiction, its nice to know that the fantasy worlds that seem so much preferable to our mundane existences are actually rooted in some sort of organic inspiration. We wont be unsatisfied forever.

Also, shout out to user AngryBeverage for his awesome, ridiculous, enormous, and hopefully-not-regrettable outrun tattoo. Let tech noir live forever.

So thats r/outrunvisit whenever you need that permanent dusk. Hasselhoff? Play us out.
